The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed about the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider point designed for intervention activities a superior influx of sassa prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to help the servicing of all customers and increase access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
